RESIDENTIAL CONCRETE LEVELING
Sidewalk and Walkway Leveling
Correct uneven walking surfaces around the home and make everyday routes easier to use.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Signs the slab deserves a closer look.
A small height change can feel much larger when it sits on the route to the front door, driveway, gate, or backyard. Lifting can address the low panel while keeping usable concrete in place.

WHY IT MOVES
Start below the surface.
Concrete usually settles because the support below it changed. North Texas moisture swings and drainage can both play a part. So can disturbed fill.
Moisture swings
Seasonal changes in expansive soil can shift support below a narrow walkway.
Tree roots and landscaping
Roots and irrigation can create uneven support. So can disturbed soil below a panel.
Washout
Water moving along the path can remove fine soil and leave a hollow area.
THE REPAIR PLAN
How we approach this surface.
Check the full route
We review more than the obvious lip. That includes drainage and steps, plus gates and adjoining slabs.
Lift the low panel
Foam is placed below suitable concrete through small injection ports.
Review the walking line
The repaired route is checked for transitions and water flow before the ports are patched.
IS LIFTING A FIT?
Keep the concrete when the concrete is worth keeping.
An estimate should separate settlement from slab failure and explain the limits before work begins.
LIFTING MAY FIT
Look for sound, movable concrete.
- One or more intact panels have settled
- The route can be improved by changing height
- The concrete is not extensively spalled or broken
CONSIDER ANOTHER REPAIR
Some conditions need replacement or more investigation.
- Roots or utilities prevent safe movement
- The path needs to be relocated or widened
- The slab surface is failing even if its height is corrected
