RESIDENTIAL CONCRETE LEVELING

Residential Driveway Leveling

Raise settled driveway panels, reduce abrupt edges, and improve the transition to your garage or street.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Signs the slab deserves a closer look.

A low driveway panel can catch tires and hold water. It can turn the walk to the mailbox into a daily reminder that the slab is moving. When the concrete is still sound, lifting may correct the height without removing the whole section.

02

One panel sits lower than the next

03

Water remains after rain or irrigation

04

Tires scrape or bump at a joint

WHY IT MOVES

Start below the surface.

Concrete usually settles because the support below it changed. North Texas moisture swings and drainage can both play a part. So can disturbed fill.

Moving clay soil

North Texas clay expands and contracts as moisture changes, which can leave a slab without even support.

Water below the slab

Runoff, drainage problems, or a leak can carry soil away and create empty space.

Weak base material

Fill that was not compacted evenly can settle under the weight of the driveway.

THE REPAIR PLAN

How we approach this surface.

01

Map the low area

We look at the joints and garage transition. We also check drainage and cracks, along with nearby downspouts.

02

Lift in controlled stages

Small ports allow expanding foam to fill voids and raise suitable panels gradually.

03

Check the transitions

The final height is reviewed at adjacent slabs, the garage, and the street approach.

IS LIFTING A FIT?

Keep the concrete when the concrete is worth keeping.

An estimate should separate settlement from slab failure and explain the limits before work begins.

LIFTING MAY FIT

Look for sound, movable concrete.

  • The affected panel is settled but largely intact
  • The main problem is height or support
  • The slab can move without binding against a fixed structure

CONSIDER ANOTHER REPAIR

Some conditions need replacement or more investigation.

  • Concrete is badly crumbled or split into many loose pieces
  • The driveway needs a new shape, thickness, or width
  • A structural or active water problem must be corrected first
