RESIDENTIAL CONCRETE LEVELING

Concrete Pad and Slab Leveling

Lift settled equipment pads, shed slabs, utility pads, and other exterior concrete around the home.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Signs the slab deserves a closer look.

Small slabs still support important things. Settlement can tilt equipment, bind a gate, or create runoff problems around a shed or utility area. The load on the slab and what is connected to it guide the repair.

01

An equipment pad is visibly tilted

02

A shed slab has dropped at one edge

03

A gate or enclosure no longer clears the concrete

04

Runoff collects beside the pad

WHY IT MOVES

Start below the surface.

Concrete usually settles because the support below it changed. North Texas moisture swings and drainage can both play a part. So can disturbed fill.

Concentrated loads

Equipment or structures can expose weak areas in the base below a pad.

Disturbed perimeter soil

Utility work and trenches can leave backfill that later settles beside the home.

Poor drainage

Water around a small slab can soften or wash out its support.

THE REPAIR PLAN

How we approach this surface.

01

Document what the slab supports

Equipment and piping can restrict movement. Walls and anchors can too. Electrical connections add another limit.

02

Define the safe lift

We set a target that protects connections and improves function.

03

Support the slab

Foam placement is planned to fill accessible voids and lift where appropriate.

IS LIFTING A FIT?

Keep the concrete when the concrete is worth keeping.

An estimate should separate settlement from slab failure and explain the limits before work begins.

LIFTING MAY FIT

Look for sound, movable concrete.

  • The slab and supported item can move safely
  • The main concern is settlement below intact concrete
  • Connections and utilities are visible or documented

CONSIDER ANOTHER REPAIR

Some conditions need replacement or more investigation.

  • The pad is undersized or too thin for its use
  • Moving it would strain utilities or attached structures
  • The slab needs a different foundation or reinforcement
